WTO Codex Alimentarius = Restrictive Legislation

The World Trade Organization (WTO) has a program called Codex Alimentarius, which has the purpose of establishing Global Standards for food. It is being touted under the guise of providing "consumer protection". These are rules that will have to be adopted by all members of the WTO and implemented in their respective countries. Although it is supposed to benefit the consumer it will really be restricting and eliminating the freedom of choice we now have.
The Codex Alimentarius is legislation, which when adopted, will restrict our ability to buy and use nutritional and herbal supplements. It will also restrict or eliminate the choice of using Complimentary and Alternative Medicine as a health care choice. It would also impose and restrict our choices in regard to the food we can buy. The following are some examples of the effects of these rules:

- You would no longerbe able to buy nutitional and herbal supplements at a health food store.
- You would need a prescription in order to buy nutritional and herbal supplements.
- Your choice to use Complimentary and Alternative Medicine would be restricted or eliminated. (do you now use Chiropractic, Acupuncture, or Naturopath?)
- It would mandate the use of Hormones in animals used for food.
- It would mandate the use of Antibiotics for animals used for food.
- It would require IRRADIATION of all foods, unless grown and eaten locally.
- contacting everyone you know.
- contacting your Congressional Representatives in the House and Senate.
- contacting Media in your area: Newspapers, Magazines, Radio. TV.
- Making sure that your local health food stores and involved.
- Making sure that your local Complimentary and Alternative Medicine practitioners are involved.
